Davie Rolls Out New On-Line Communication Program

The Town of Davie just improved the way that people can communicate with the Town.  The new Citizen Support Center can be accessed from the Town’s website at www.davie-fl.gov.

A link on the front of the website titled Talk to Us brings you to the Citizen Support Center where residents can easily navigate through four easy sections, Find Answers, Make a Request, Ask A Question, and My Citizen Action Center.

The new Citizen Support Center is easy to use and will be a great addition to the Town’s website. It is important for residents or anyone having contact with the Town of Davie to be able to communicate effectively in the most practical way.

South Florida singer/songwriter Ellen Bukstel has won the “Breaking the Silence in Song” Contest, a prestigious national music-industry songwriting competition created to bring more awareness to the fight against domestic violence.

Ms. Bukstel’s song, You’re Not Better Than Me was chosen from hundreds of entries submitted by songwriters in a variety of musical genres.  A resident of Southwest Ranches, Florida, Ellen has written and performed folk songs covering a variety of issues-oriented themes, including domestic violence, AIDS, voters’ rights and homelessness.

“Breaking the Silence in Song” was created by Women Who Jam! and presented by the National Association of Black Female Executives in Music & Entertainment and the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV).  The competition was conceived to bring increased awareness to the fight against domestic violence, and to give songwriters an opportunity to have their creative works heard by influential decision-makers in the music and entertainment industries.
