 Davie Assistant Town Clerk Barbara McDaniel
Davie Assistant Town Clerk Barbara McDaniel was awarded the prestigious Robert N. Clark Memorial Award at the 2008 Annual Conference of the Florida Association of City Clerks (FACC) recently held in Naples, Florida.
Barbara McDaniel, a long time employee and resident of the Town of Davie, was presented the award by FACC President Tammy K. Vock, who said this about McDaniel: “The person to receive this award is someone that I have had the privilege of working with for many years, way back when I first got on the board. She has been an active member of the Florida Association of City Clerks for many years. She served as the Southeast District Director for close to ten years and rarely ever did she miss a meeting. She has also been very active in the Broward County Clerk’s Association and has held various positions in that Association.” Barbara McDaniel has held the Assistant Town Clerk position at the Town of Davie since 1987. She holds the Master Municipal Clerk (MMC) designation which is the highest recognition a clerk can receive and has been a Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) since 1991. Barbara is a member of the International Institute of Municipal Clerks and the Florida Association of City Clerks of which she was the Director of the Southeast District. She has also served on the following Florida Association of City Clerks committees: By-Laws Committee, Membership Committee, Nominating Committee, Conference Committee, and Goals Committee. Barbara has served as president for both the Broward County Municipal Clerks Association and the South Florida Government Finance Officers.
